This is a commissioned script for Doug Sharpe, specifically his Pirates of the Caribbean video. The brief for this project consisted of developing a historical look of Caribbean history, with added details on how various European Countries contributed to the rise of Pirates.
Doug’s tone of voice consists of a knowledgeable, yet relaxed approach of informing different travel/trivia points, in the style of “fun facts”, or as narrative, but historically accurate stories.
By working with Doug, I was able to write and organize a narrative video, through his tone of voice. I spent a good amount of time researching his previous videos and scripts, in order to understand how to best approach his humor/delivery with each piece of information.
Ultimately, both Doug and I were satisfied with the finished project, and were able to communicate throughout the drafting process on any changes that needed to be made, finalizing in a well-structured, narrative video about the birth of pirates!
